How to add Orange to your Office Wardrobe

Home | Executive Presence | How to add Orange to your Office Wardrobe

Fashion trends are showing fiery orange as the “it color” of 2012 for your wardrobe.  A bold color, it will pep up any bland wardrobe, but used too much, it can be overwhelming.  The key to wearing this color is to use it as a secondary color in your wardrobe.

In terms of office wear, orange can be worn in shoes, blouses,  skirts, bags and scarves for women when paired with a neutral office color such as navy, black or gray and can be worn with your suit.

Men, wear orange in your ties, handkerchief and even your shoes (refer to the illustration).   As with ladies, you can wear with a classic suit in colors such as navy, black or gray.

For a casual office look, pair with tan or dark denim (to keep the professional edge).

Use orange sparingly, you can look chic and professional in the office.  The illustration offers examples of how to integrate orange into your office wear.
